Page Formatting

This is an example page added to show how the different text formatting available in the WordPress editor will look on the live page.

Headings are used to provide structure for an article Main heading is the article title and this is set to H1 automatically so normally we should use H2 as our main section headers , then H3 for sub sections and H4 for sub-sub sections and so on.

Heading 1 (best not to use)

Heading 2

Heading 3

Heading 4

Heading 5
Heading 6

Paragraph text is the main text of the page which is what you’re reading now. The text can be formatted as bold, italic, strikethrough, underline, superscipt and subscript.

Special characters can be added to your content by clicking the omega (Ω) button in the toolbar e.g. ©, ®, ¼ etc.

You can have bulleted lists –

  • Item 1
  • Item 2
  • Item 3
  • etc.

or, numbered lists –

  1. Item 1
  2. Item 2
  3. Item 3
  4. etc.

Other formatting options are available e.g. text alignment, indentation, colour etc. the effect of these options is fairly obvious so no examples are given here.
