As this was the Grand Finale, there was a presentation evening after the competition. Points had been gathered from all of the home and away competitions and the leaders of each of the categories were given the Age Group Shields.

The Orkney team were successful in receiving the trophies for the Under 11 Age Group, Under 13 Age Group, Best Overall Female Team and Best Overall Team. These trophies were greatfully received by the very excited, very worthy Orkney Athletes.

Sam Croy and Taylah Spence were awarded with HIPPO t-shirts as their performances in the 2nd Round of competition were the best in the North of Scotland.

Rhian Mackay was also awarded a HIPPO t-shirt as the female in the Under 15 category for her ‘Endeavour’ throughout the season.

A fantastic end to a fantastic season. Thanks must go to Northlink Ferries and OIC for their continued sponsorship. But most of all, thanks must go to all of the athletes who have taken up athletics and who continue to train week after week and compete both home and away. A very healthy future for the Club.
