Due to the times Mags had been running in 2010 she was asked to run for Team Lothian in the woman’s league division 1 and she was also asked if she would run for Inverness Harriers in the Petrofac League. To be asked to run for bigger clubs is an honour and shows how well Mag’s is thought of and this can only be gained through dedication and hard work.

The Orkney Athletes take part in the HIPPO League. This league includes 8 other clubs in the North of Scotland. Two local competitions take place in each area with the final being held in Inverness where all the clubs come together. Orkney had another very successful year, they scooped the Under 11’s trophy, U13’s trophy, Under 15’s trophy and Overall Female Trophy.

Amy Davis was successful in claiming the Girls HIPPO Olympian trophy, she had the most overall league points in the Under 11 Girls, this is first time this trophy has been awarded to an athlete in Orkney.

All in all a very successful year for the club and it was great that so many friends, supporters and sponsors were able to come along and share in the success.
